Reviews and Ratings
The hotel's rooms are a mix of elegant and comfortable spaces but feel a bit cramped due to the large wooden furniture. The service was a blend of attentive care and occasional lapses in attention. Its central location offers easy access to major attractions with great dining options nearby, though some noise issues were noted. The dining experience had a good selection but lacked certain essentials. Overall, it's a place worth considering with some room for improvement.
My stay at the hotel was quite pleasant overall. The room was comfortable, and the location was excellent for exploring Hobart. The service was exceptional, and the dining options were a bit pricey but satisfactory. The facilities were well-kept. Although there were some minor downsides, I had a good experience.
My stay at the hotel was filled with mixed experiences. The rooms, while clean and comfortable, felt a bit noisy and cramped. On the bright side, the hotel's music added a nice touch to the ambiance. The bathroom was a bit dated but nothing too bothersome. The service was exceptional; the staff was not only friendly and respectful but also efficient in addressing any issues that arose. The location was a standout feature, offering easy access to popular attractions like the CBD and Salamanca Place, although the noise from late-night activities nearby was a downside. The dining experience was a bit hit-and-miss, with excellent continental breakfasts but ordinary hot breakfast options. Overall, the facilities were satisfactory, though some minor defects were noticeable.
The hotel offers clean and comfortable rooms with great housekeeping and spacious layouts. The staff is professional, friendly, and accommodating. The location is fantastic for exploring Hobart, with easy access to shops and the harbor area. The dining experience varies from adequate to great, with some aspects included in the tariff. Overall, a good value for the stay.
The hotel had a fantastic location right in the heart of Hobart, making it easy to walk to the waterfront, restaurants, and many attractions. The rooms were comfortable and filled with light, but the heavy wooden furniture made them feel cramped and dusty. The service was amazing, especially the cheerful and helpful staff, though some areas lacked guidance. The dining options were good but could have been more extensive. The hotel's historical charm and ideal location were its main highlights.
The hotel had a mix of good and not-so-great points. The room was spacious, clean, and had the most comfortable bed I’ve slept in for a long time, but it wasn’t up to the standard we've experienced at Hadleys in the past. The long history of the hotel was evident, from the Victorian decor to the old newspaper-style flyer in the room.
The hotel rooms were very comfortable with extra blankets and pillows, free WiFi, a mini bar, safe, tea/coffee making facilities, large flat screen TV, and a hair dryer. They provided a bed that was perfect to sink into after a long trip but were a lil on the small side for our family of four.
Despite the cramped and dusty rooms due to bulky furniture and heavy curtains, the hotel overlooks St David's church and the CBD. Management surprised us with a box of chocolates for our wedding anniversary, but there were noise issues with a droning motor and intermittent beeping.
